Back when the BLM riots started across the USA last year I wrote how they had nothing to do with helping blacks and everything to do with destroying America. Well, that movement has led to America being totally consumed with race, and making everything about race. (Now, if that is not racism then I don’t know what is!)
Now this “everything is racism” attitude to fight “racism” is taking over schools across the US. One father couldn’t take it anymore. He pulled his daughter out of the private all-girls school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan which costs $54,000 a year, where his daughter studied for 7 years since kindergarten. All prospective families apparently have to take an “anti-racism pledge” to be considered for admission.
Below are key quotes from the father’s letter. I suggest you read the whole thing. Nice to see Bari Weiss taking on this issue.
KEY QUOTES FROM THE FATHER’S LETTER:
It cannot be stated strongly enough that Brearley’s obsession with race must stop. It should be abundantly clear to any thinking parent that Brearley has completely lost its way.
I object to the view that I should be judged by the color of my skin. I cannot tolerate a school that not only judges my daughter by the color of her skin, but encourages and instructs her to prejudge others by theirs.
Lastly, I object, with as strong a sentiment as possible, that Brearley has begun to teach what to think, instead of how to think. I object that the school is now fostering an environment where our daughters, and our daughters’ teachers, are afraid to speak their minds in class for fear of “consequences.”
